What year was the average fuel economy for American vehicles the highest?
Filed Under Other - Cars & Transportation | 3 Comments
Someone told me there was a year in the 80s when the average fuel economy of all the cars on the road was 30mpg. Is that true? Does anyone know where I can find this information, a chart perhaps? I’d also like to know what the average is this year.

Why is McCain going to work on the economy when he has admitted that economy is not his strong suit?
Filed Under Elections | 5 Comments
He doesn’t even sit on any of the relevant committees.
Is he trying to lead us to believe that he is going to single-handedly fix the economy in ways that couldn’t be achieved by the hundreds of his Congressional colleagues?

How is McCain gonna help the economy?
Filed Under Government | 21 Comments
I am honestly asking Republicans what McCain is going to do for the economy. I have not heard him have one policy when it comes to the economy. I do not want to hear he is going to cut taxes. I fully support taxes and that is a non issue. Besides, just cutting taxes alone is not going to fix the economy so what else is he planning on doing?

how did the economy cycle work during the great depression?
Filed Under Homework Help | Comments Off
I am writing an essay on the economy cycle during the Great Depression and was wondering these things:
*Explain how the economy works as a cycle.
*Describe how both a flourishing and a failing economy follows a cycle.
*What types of events could cause a break in a successful economy, causing an economy to fail?
Response would be greatlly apriciated, thanks!

What major impacts does the US economy have on the economy of other countries?
Filed Under Economics | Comments Off
I know the drop in our economy DOES impact other countries. For instance, if our economy drops we stop importing as many things from other countries as well as investing in many of the global markets.
But, other than these impacts, how does the US affect other countries? And on what scale?
No, this is not for school. Merely a question by a curious college student.

Is the economy going to tank any time soon? Should I start investing for the first time now?
Filed Under New Water | 7 Comments
I have heard from several individuals that it is only a matter of time before the economy tanks and that we are about to enter a economic depression. I am a college student and really want to start investing some of my cash in either precious metals and stocks… is now a good time to do it? Do you think the economy will tank in the foreseeable future?
